A swarm in May, a bale of hay, a swarm in June, a silver spoon, a swarm in July, not worth a fly. In other words, if you want to capture a bee swarm, let it be June, with several months of nectar and pollen remaining before the freeze. Then they have time to get themselves established and food stored for the long winter ahead. At least that applies to those of us in Northern climes. So the swarm trap is waiting.

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. Not dog days, but hot days of summer. We have been having lots of high temperatures with high humidity, it seems like all summer. We have AC but I love to be outdoors and so do my furkids so we get out several times a day, but come back in quickly. I am very excited about fall, lower temps and sleeping under quilts again! Still making things for my other shop. Thursday, November 27, 2014.
